Sorry to cherry pick this line from you GrandpaGreer but I couldn't resist.

"Liberal" to me meant and still means anyone who realizes that all people are born with individual rights. That no matter how unpopular the individual cannot have their rights deprived by any majority, nor for the "greater good" of the collective.

Most who claim to be liberal are not. It's unfortunate that the title has come to mean everyone on the left...and even more unfortunate that those that are the furthest thing from being a liberal have used that as cover.

And yes...I completely mock the UN and use Europe as an example of what NOT to do.

People living in a culture based on being a monarchy and imperialist nation are not those I expect to have a clue about why we own guns. France? Geez you would think they would know better by now...But ever since we have been trying to be more like them we have had more problems.

Notice how there's overlaps on all 3 maps?

I think what cranky meant was ...

My question is: How did this go from a discussion about George Soros facts to banana imports to central america being a continent?

You don't think the US resembles an imperialist nation? The US military is deployed in more than 150 countries around the world. We've got around 50k still in Germany, over 35k in Japan, 10k in Italy, 28k in Korea, etc ... We impose our beliefs ideals on other nations like an 16th century monarchy.

And do you really think if the gov't tried to declare martial law that your hunting rifles and semi-auto hand guns are going to stop them? Please, they'd drop a bomb on you and then claim you blew yourself up in your meth lab.

No we are not....post WWII defense treaties obligated us to defend the nations and interests of imperial nations like the UK and France.

If by "impose" you mean we treated Germany, Italy, and Japan better than they would have had they won and keep South Korea all nice and safe then yes we impose our superior morality on the ungrateful world.

If the government declared martial law...it would work on cities, you can just contain a city and starve em out.

But occupying and controlling the vast land between cities? No chance...and yes hunting rifles in the hands of people that know the terrain better than anyone else and have the "give me liberty or give me death" attitude will remind any idiot that failed to learn the lesson of Vietnam (France got us that one) that an armed population is hard for any military to take out.

Besides, who ever said hunting rifles and hand guns was what the private arsenal of the US population is all that it is comprised of? Those things are for hunting and personal protection. Assault rifles, armor piercing sniper rounds, etc are just one part of the largest, most well armed built in insurgency in the history of mankind.

But your mention of the popular global feeling of how some feel about America does bring up a feeling I sometimes entertain when hearing it...that maybe we should have pulled back into isolationism after WWII and let them all worry about themselves and Stalin....or maybe we should go full on imperialist and actually do what we get accused of...after all, my country means more to me than the life of every single man, woman, and child that hates us.

Already did Gramps. Couple days, and 5 or 6 posts in this thread, before you asked me to. But thanks for not reading what I've written, before deciding for yourself, what it is I've written, again.

Moreover, the EU geoscheme people even go as far as to view Mexico as being outside of North America. So, the issue is not as cut and dry as you'd like to pretend it is. But, on the other hand, maybe that's just you showing off your education again, am I correct?

Also, whatever continental borders you choose to recognise, doesn't really change the focus of the conversation KAL and I were having, specifically, the amount of trade that exists between the Canadian economy and the US economy. So, you go ahead and nitpick about something that's irrelevant to what the adults are talking about, and we'll just go on discussing it anyways, mmmmkay? (try to imagine me patting you on the head right now, with a gleefully condescending look in my eye)

Anyway RemFO, you feel free to believe whatever school of thought you want to believe, it really doesn't affect me. I imagine your singular frame of mind doesn't affect any self respecting Central American either.

You're welcome for the laugh though. You're right, you do need more of those in your life, although presently, I think that even you, are not really sure, what it is, you're laughing at.

Finally, I was quoting you verbatim.

Trying hard to defend your stupidity? I love how you cite the UN's "geoscheme" as defense for your idiocy. BTW, scheme is defined as: "a plan or program of action, especially a crafty or secret one." So your evidence of a Central American continent is the corrupt UN's global (geo) crafty/secret plan (scheme). That's great! Thanks again for proving why any debate with a retard liberal is an exercise in futility.

As far as "the focus of the conversation" you were having with KAL, and my nitpicking about what you claim is "irrelevant", that is another great example of your ignorance and hypocrisy. When you deflect the conversation with grammar nazi BS, or trying to discuss Christians in a thread about Islam, it's valid. However, someone points out how stupid you really are and you get your panties in a knot. That's classic.

BTW, you are completely incapable of being "condescending" to me. For that to work, you'd have to actually be smarter. You are nothing but a liberal troll who doesn't have the intelligence God gave an animal cracker. So your pathetic attempts at condescending comments are just laughable.

Lastly, as for this statement:
Finally, I was quoting you verbatim.

WTFO wrote:I dropped out in grade 10 because school is for losers

Go ahead and link to that statement. Come on, provide your proof that I ever said that. What, you can't? More proof that facts NEVER back up your positions. You have to lie to make your points.

I pity you. I really do. You are such a sad little troll. You are not worth the anger you vainly try to stir up at this site.

Welcome to the conversation, Bull. However, I think you've gotten your username wrong. You've already proven that it should be Bullsh!t since that's all you've spouted here so far.

Anyway, it's nice to see liberal morons coming to defend each other. You really had to stretch the bounds of logic to defend his ignorance of continents didn't you. It truly displays the sheep mentality of liberals. Thanks for that extra proof of how programmed and ignorant your side of the political spectrum is.

As for your point on the thread straying from the topic of Soros, I agree to an extent. That is why after I pointed out crackhead's moronic statement, I posted more facts about the evil Soros right after. Unfortunately, you and crackhead decided to continue to defend blatant ignorance of what is the accepted knowledge of continental facts.

Regarding your complete stupidity of the military, maybe you should stick to discussing things that you actually understand. After nearly 20 yrs in service, I know much more about this topic than you ever will. Maybe you'd be better equipped to discuss a topic that liberals know a lot about like...um...well...uh...Oh yeah, I remember...whining, crying, blaming others for your failures and begging for what others have earned.

Thanks for playing, troll #2.

You keep calling me Liberal, I'm not sure you know what it means. I am not a liberal. not even a little bit. it seems you're just mad because you keep spewing racist comments and unverified "facts" you've most likely heard on fox news and when someone with their head NOT securely shoved up their own a$$ calls you on it your only recourse is slander. Get it together retard.

What am I supposed to refute dumba$$? That entire statement was nothing but slander. WTFO didn't make any counter arguments, just personal slams. I think you guys need to huddle up and reevaluate your game plan here. That is if you homos can keep your hands off each other's a$$es.

Agreed. The world's largest army... America 's
hunters! I had never thought about this before I read the following on another web site....
************************************************************************************************************
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin .

Allow me to restate that number.

Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.

More men under arms than in Iran .

More than in France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters,
all of whom have now returned home.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that
the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.
The point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.

Food for thought when next we consider gun control...
************************************************************************************************************
As to weapons beyond personal protection or hunting, again I agree...it is amazing to me how much firepower many Americans out here in flyover country actually possess....weapons I have seen with my own eyes here in backwoods Kentucky. In fact, I can't think of anyone I know that doesn't have at least one gun and most have many. And more than you would think have automatic weapons. Twice a year, there is a machine gun shoot at Knob Creek, near Louisville. I'm sure there are others around the US. Folks come here from all over to shoot and blow things up. Those are just the legally owned, licensed automatic weapons held by private citizens in the US.
And in reference to the comment by Mr. Bull about imperialism...My country is not Imperialistic. That is just commie crap. Our military presence in all of those other countries is a deterrent for any aggression against our allies. It allowed our allies to rebuild after 2 world wars and a "police action" in the course of 35 years, all of which would have been lost to the forces of evil if not for us.
