I am a conservative libertarian, the people that man was ranting about is liberal libertarians. As a conservative libertarian (AKA: Constitutional Republican), I believe in not legalizing drugs, a strong military, a smaller govt, less taxes, and more states' rights.

No I don't believe a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Nor do I believe that the racists signs that show up at at tea party protests make all Teabaggers racist.

-You uphold the prohibition of drugs. This is the very dark side of big government. The government telling people what they can and cannot do. People should be able to do what they want as long as they are not hurting anybody else. Two of your Presidential candidates agree with me. We spend billions on the war on drugs which includes locking up our fellow citizens in jail. We have more people in prison than China (who's population dwarfs ours) and we are the free country? The vast majority of them are in there on drug charges. Privatized prisons are a growth investment opportunity BTW.
- You believe in a strong defense. We spend more on defense than the rest of the world combined. This to me is the only winning argument against big government. We simply can't afford it. We couldn't afford Iraq, we borrowed money to fund it.
- I'm with you on States rights. If a state wants to legalize medical Marijuana, gay marriage etc... go for it. At the Governors meeting Obama challenged them to come up with something better than "Obamacare". The Fed steps in when there is a crisis and the amount of uninsured people qualifies. Vermont is about to institute single payer.
Anyways even though I agree with libertarians on many things. I don't call by self a libertarian liberal and you should not call yourself an libertarian conservative. You're just the typical big government conservative.

I also need to point out yet another significant lie from you (one of many). You stated "We spend more on defense than the rest of the world combined". This is flat out false. US military spending accounts for 40% of the global arms spending. However, again you've neglected any context for your incorrect number that paints the whole picture (again you work in lies, distortion, half-truths, slander, and other moveon.org progressive ignorance). You failed to mention that our GDP is the highest in the world, so the true metric that matters is how much of our GDP is spent on the military. The answer? 4.06%. While that is higher than France's 2.6% (and we all know how well their surrender-happy military is) it is also much lower than Saudi Arabia's 10% of GDP spent on their military. The UAE spent 7.3% of their GDP, Iraq - 5.4%, Oman - 9.7%, Jordan - 6.1%, Eritrea - 20.9%, Georgia - 5.6%, and Chad -6.2%.

Well, I'm pretty late, but I have no idea which side I would want to stand on. I'm not into big government unless it's national defense, foreign policy/trade, and the like; States should regulate marijuana and alcohol on an individual basis since not every state is the same. Also, military spending is pretty outrageous, but the tax loopholes should be closed up so no one (except certain non-profit organizations) can avoid taxes.
