This debate about percentage of tax paid is totally bullshit. Romney pays 35% (or less depending on writeoffs) on normal income just like Obama. On investment income (like my 401K) he pays a lower percentage which encourages investment which encourages national GDP growth and jobs. If the taxes on investments are raised, what happens to all of the people who depend on their 401K which they invested in for many years hoping to live comfortably on when SS dies in 2024?
