George Soros’ Tides Foundation in Canada is under investigation by the Canada Revenue Agency after members of the Conservative Party labeled the organization a foreign-funded radical group. As the Globe and Mail reports, the group “serves as a clearinghouse for foreign donors that want to donate here but do not have Canadian charitable status.” The organization has funneled money to liberal advocacy groups, particularly regarding oil development issues.

President of Tides Canada Ross McMillan admitted that the “information requested of us by CRA does not appear to be random – many of the questions concern international funding, projects of interest to international foundations, and contractors and projects with views that are not always aligned with government perspectives on both social and environmental policy.”

Soros has become a famous funder of liberal causes in the United States, including Media Matters; groups associated with him have long been accused of using their charitable status to engage in partisan politics.

You would think his past would be enough to disgust many but the left has bigger things to be enraged by, like the fact that the rest of us like the bill of rights.

But since you reminded me that there might be many who defend his ideals blindly I might as well include a little background.

His real name is George Schwartz and he was a Jew living in Hungary when the Nazis invaded.

George’s father changed the family name to something less Jewish-sounding (Soros). As a teenager George went to work for the Judenrat (the name is self explanatory). This was a council of Jewish collaborators (today they are known simply as Jewish Liberals) set up by the Nazis to aide them in their extermination efforts.

Then his father found him an even better gig:

Theodore hatched a better plan for his son. He bribed a non-Jewish official at the agriculture ministry to let George live with him. George helped the official confiscate property from Jews (they were the 1% to the Nazis).

By collaborating with the Nazis, George survived the Holocaust. He turned on other Jews to spare himself.


Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes asked him that. Was it difficult? “Not at all,” Soros answered.

“No feeling of guilt?” asked Kroft. “No,” said Soros. “There was no sense that I shouldn’t be there. If I wasn’t doing it, somebody else would be taking it away anyhow. Whether I was there or not. So I had no sense of guilt.”


And this despicable man is trying to subvert Canada the way he has subverted the US!
