Mr. Kam, interesting YouTube! They didn't show that on Morning Joe this morning.
If Romney can be taken to task for outsourcing, then why doesn't Romney come back at Obama about Immelt's GE and their outsourcing? I just don't get it. How about that car company he financed in Finland? How is this not being thrown in his face? Everything Obama has done has driven more jobs overseas. Why are they letting them get away with driving the conversation?
Obama's speech in Roanoke was such a joke...and a rehash of Elizabeth Warren's speech that everyone on the left thought was so profound. Yes, the "XYZ Widget Company" used our nation's infrastructure to build its company into a very successful business and employ people and produce widgets and sell and distribute those widgets...an infrastructure built by a combination of government and other private businesses. What folks on the left don't see or don't want to see is that XYZ, Inc., which used the roads and energy and communication and fire/police/medical services as they expanded and grew to the huge corporation that they are today also contributed to that infrastructure, through commerce with the private businesses that helped build it and through taxes paid to the government....taxes on payroll and revenue created by XYZ. Those same taxes on payroll and revenue were paid by those other private businesses, as well.
It's an intricate system. Everything is interconnected. Layer is built upon layer; things are torn down and rebuilt. That infrastructure wasn't just laid down there by a bunch of smart, hard working liberals, as Obama would have us think....stop laughing, Mr. Kam...for those evil corporations to come along, out of nowhere, and start a business on top of it and start making money hand over fist. Now, believe it or not, that scenario...as silly as it seems...is playing out in China. Have you seen those ghost cities they built all over China? I think that's exactly how they thought it should work. That's going well, eh?
Obama is keeping the pressure on and driving towards his goals for socialism in the US and this particular case for redistribution that successful people aren't special and owe everyone even more than they've already paid is part of it. I don't think Obama is all that smart, just ballsy. He has the playbook and he is following it and he doesn't care what we say and neither do his acolytes. He is an ideologue and there is no logic or reason that will sway him.
