Same place life comes from...

If some want to point to a divine creator that's fine...

I personally just go with nature....the natural state of man.

Those that can't grasp this I pity...they don't understand that if another person or group is granting them...they can take them away as well.

That's why the US constitution is the best...because it simply acknowledges people are born with rights. It grants the government some power...and we can take that power away.

To disagree is to acknowledge that you are NOT an American. Hence leftist radicals are not Americans.

Period, end of story.

The Declaration of Independence clearly states that our rights come from the Creator (for context, I'm a hopeful agnostic).

That was an intentional statement by our founders for very specific reasons. Throughout history, citizens rights came from the King/Queen/govt/etc. What the founders understood is that when the govt/royalty provide rights, they can take them away. They intentionally placed our rights in a position that cannot be touched by men in power. Even an atheist should be able to appreciate that rationale (if they could get past their blind, irrational hatred for those with faith).

When govts control the people's rights, then they can control them. The more the govt has control, the more the people slip into serfdom. Since the Dems' ultimate goal is to control US citizens (even if it is in the misguided belief that they know what is good for us), they want to destroy the Creator's connection to our rights and replace Him with their benevolent plans. That is one of the reasons the left are such strong advocates of the "wall between church and state" even though it was never called for in the Constitution.
