The government (fed and states) gets around 40 cents per gallon, transporting gas is around 26 cents per gallon, refining is 24 cents, gas stations make around 9 cents per gallon, it's hard to say what oil companies make because crude jumps wildly

yeah, that more than anything is just corporate greed causing it. Still was odd having that sharp sudden and very temporary drop in gas prices right before he got in office considering how long we were running at 3-4 a gallon.
