question for "moderate" muslims - politics

Where is your outrage? Or do the violent ones actually represent what you REALLY feel? Newsflash... WE don't buy it!

...but hey, if that's YOUR THING, well then, ACES! =)
fauxnews - January 24, 2015, 1:19 pm
Again, you will get no argument from me that Muslim extremists are freaks just like Xtian fundamentalists are freaks. But to suggest that "Islam"itself is to blame OR that Islam is inferior to other religions based upon these examples is a form of bigotry
fauxnews - January 24, 2015, 1:13 pm
There are several instances in the Bible of violence being used as policy for dealing with things just like there are many instances of extremists using the Bible to justify violence against man (i.e. the Inquisition..wars against Godless Communism, etc.)
fauxnews - January 24, 2015, 1:11 pm
Islam is no better or worse than Christianity. All religions are equal, and equally superstitious. The Bible and Christianity are just as violent and irrational in their teachings and stories as Islam, period.
fauxnews - January 24, 2015, 1:10 pm
The religion/faith of Islam has nothing do with mentally ill rejects deciding to take out their illness on others. Just like Christianity is NOT to blame for the actions of Xtian fundamentalists. Nor should we blame Judaism for the "greed"of the world, etc
fauxnews - January 24, 2015, 1:09 pm
....so for every example you list about Muslim extremists upset over this or that I can counter list an example of Xtian extremists flipping out over dumb things as well...or a Xtian nutjob shooting up an Abortion clinic.
fauxnews - January 24, 2015, 1:06 pm
*yawn* And Xtian fundamentalists flip out over the dumbest things too, like their scorn for Martin Scorcese's excellent depiction of Christ in the "Last Temptation of Christ" simply for showing him having *** (oh, god forbid!). Or their hatred for AD&D
Cyberhagen - January 24, 2015, 12:53 pm
Which do you think should outrage them more? A stupid cartoon, or the misappropriation of their "peaceful" religion to do unspeakable things, repeatedly? Obviously, the cartoon is what most muslims find far more offensive, and gets them fired up. Hello?
Cyberhagen - January 24, 2015, 12:51 pm
The point here, and it's an excellent one, is, tens of thousands of muslims get angry and protest in the streets over a cartoon of their prophet; but large groups of people commit atrocities in the name of their religion, and barely a peep?
Cyberhagen - January 24, 2015, 12:49 pm
Those things only contribute. If you don't see that the common bond and driving idealology behind groups like ISIS is Islam, you're deliberately sticking your head in the sand. But blaming "islam" isn't what this meme does, so you're Strawmanning.

they tried to prove that society could not function without them, and they ended up proving the exact opposite.
DebtToAmerica - January 27, 2015, 8:55 am
apparently the NYPD did, they stopped patrolling, to protest the murder of two of their officers, and nothing happened. the city didnt explode into chaos, everything kept on running fine without police patrols.
Cyberhagen - December 27, 2014, 1:44 pm
Well, maybe they should. How else will they learn the reality of the matter?

'I certainly think the free-market has failed.' - politics

She is absolutely right, the government's market of free healthcare, free welfare, free food stamps, free cell phones, and free housing has failed.

One theater had the best solution, they showed Team America World Police instead.
