Sunset Message

The MotiNetwork will cease to exist March 31st, 2018
Google has done a wonderful job pulling the plug on all of our traffic, and at this point, the sites cost more to run in server resources than the income they bring in. Its been a hell of 10 year ride, but the time has come to sunset the network.

for example, consider all the conservatives who want to ban abortion. their hearts are in the right place, but their ignorance completely detatches them from the reality of the situation.
DebtToAmerica - July 2, 2015, 1:19 pm
its not just morality either, it is the delegation of cognition. the act of letting others think for you, not thinking for yourself. ignorance can make good people do terrible things to themselves and others, physically and politically.
DebtToAmerica - July 2, 2015, 1:13 pm
to word it more precisely; delegating our morality to others is how good people do terrible things. religion is often exploited by scumbags who want to dictate morality to others, I.E. "kill the infidels", etc...
DebtToAmerica - July 2, 2015, 1:08 pm
i'd argue that submission to authority is what leads to atrocities, I.E. "i'm just following orders!" and "if the government/bible says it it must be true!"
Curlyrocks - July 2, 2015, 10:40 am
So does politics, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Poi Pot and more all committed horrible acts that they considered justified because of their political views. I think it's just a case of people looking to justify horrible actions, not the fault of religion.
Zeitguy - July 2, 2015, 10:31 am
Point being is that religious faith gives people a free pass to commit acts that otherwise reasonable individuals would not.
Curlyrocks - July 2, 2015, 10:04 am
Pakistan also elected Benazir Bhutto twice. Please don't compare the actions of some back woods retards to an entire religion or society.

Democrat Robert C. Byrd - politics

If we're going to remove the Confederate flag from display, what about the more than 50 public buildings, bridges, roads, dams, and highways named after Robert Byrd? He was a Democrat who served as a U.S. Representative from 1953-1959 and as a U.S. Senator from 1959-2010. Before his career in politics, Byrd created a new chapter of the Ku Klux Klan in West Virginia. Byrd became a KKK recruiter and was elected the top officer (Exalted Cyclops). He once said: "I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds."

Supreme Court Tyranny - politics

Regardless of where you stand on the issue of gay marriage, you should be disgusted and horrified to understand that YOUR Ruler, and the Ruler of 320 million Americans, is a simple majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court. This practice of constitutional revision by an unelected committee of nine, robs We the People of the most important liberty we were asserted in the Declaration of Independence - the freedom to govern ourselves. A system of government that makes We the People subordinate to a committee of nine unelected lawyers does not deserve to be called a democracy.
