The Dems' entitlement society is a threat to the US. “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.” -Alexis de Tocqueville.
WTFO - May 6, 2013, 11:44 pm
Typo: pay "no" taxes...
WTFO - May 6, 2013, 11:41 pm
In fact, ~50% pay not taxes at all. "When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Ben Franklin
WTFO - May 6, 2013, 11:37 pm
for my positions. Something you have failed to do. Why not address how these entitlement societies have had such great successes in Detroit, Chicago, D.C. etc? Also, Stone correctly pointed out that the "rich" are not taxed "equally". They get screwed.
WTFO - May 6, 2013, 11:32 pm
businesses so grow their personal wealth. This, in turn, leads to more employment. The myth that business owners are out to screw employees is BS 99% of the time and is perpetuated by liberals to divide Americans along class lines. BTW, I provided backup
WTFO - May 6, 2013, 11:30 pm
Both corporate and individual welfare programs that create dependency are wrong. Having a safety net for those who CAN'T care for themselves is great. Having welfare hammocks for those who WON'T work is bad. "Job creators" will hire to expand their
StoneTools - May 6, 2013, 8:41 pm
do you really want the rich taxed equal to the the working class? They are not currently, they are taxed at a much higher rate. Close the loopholes, don't raise the taxes again.
Renza - May 6, 2013, 12:03 pm
It's common knowledge that no business owner/manager is going to hire people when they don't actually need people, they just try to find ways to make what they have more productive, so what validity does all the "job creator" talk have?
Renza - May 6, 2013, 12:00 pm
I am curious though, if you are opposed to these so-called entitlements meant to provide a**istance for food, shelter, medical care, and education. How do you feel about subsidies to the rich and corporations that are so blatantly abused?
Renza - May 6, 2013, 11:56 am
Quite simply, there are economic groups that are at a major disadvantage in our "free market" economy, I can't say I know or particularly care what ratio ethnicity/gender/etc falls into that economic grouping, it really isn't relevant to the actual issue.
Renza - May 6, 2013, 10:53 am
so, is this a correct summary of your couple dozen posts?: "we're not racist, you're racist! your information about the past is lies! helping the poor keeps them poor! taxing the rich equally to the working class is stealing their money!" that about it?
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:32 pm
If you want to see a modern day plantation, just look at inner city slums where Dems have held control for decades: Detroit, Chicago, D.C., etc.
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:30 pm
their "solutions" are the only thing that can help, because they are too worthless to do it on their own. It keeps them on the Dem's plantation. They just transferred from farming cotton to farming votes. Today's Dem party is still the racist organization
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:29 pm
It tells them the free market is rigged against them. It tells them they can't make it without govt support. It says they are too stupid (because of race or gender) to compete. It divides the country along race, gender, etc. That way, they can claim that
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:27 pm
The Rep party supports equality and opportunity for all. It tears down the lie that some groups are disadvantaged by the free market system. The only system that is racist by design is the entitlement system set up and continued by Dem policies.
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:26 pm
They reduce entitlement spending, increase self reliance, and increase tax revenues (Obama lied when he said Romney's math didn't work). The more people with jobs, the more people that get taxed. That increases revenues. Obama sucks at math, apparently.
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:25 pm
This stability promotes growth and hiring at all levels. Therefore, the policies Reps support create jobs that are sustainable because they are not dependent on the govt. They allow people to pull themselves up and take care of their families.
WTFO - May 5, 2013, 11:23 pm
Then I don't know what is. Next, you argue that free businesses and the market only supports the "rich". Well that is just dumb. These policies free up primarily small businesses (hardly the "rich"). Free market principles provide stability in businesses.

Sad but quite a bit of truth. There are a lot of people who just spam talking points or essentially political hate speech
StoneTools - April 29, 2013, 8:27 am
You have vb and pf vying for the title of spam king. The messages they splatter are either inconsistent or not supported by intelligent thought or represent extreme views of the opposing parties.
StoneTools - April 29, 2013, 8:22 am
On sites such as this one, the extremists from both parties are the most active. This causes the wall between the member parties to get even higher and more solid. Critical thinking and compromise suffer.
Renza - April 29, 2013, 7:57 am
In the end, the history of the matter may have lead us to where we are today, it doesn't change who is currently supports discriminatory laws or equal rights, or one economic class versus another. The answer to those should be based on the present.
Renza - April 29, 2013, 7:53 am
While the political shift is strange, it essentially makes the names of the groups during previous times meaningless, for example the KKK did originally start as democrat, but they are now a**ociated with the (extreme) religious right.
Renza - April 29, 2013, 7:52 am
While it is historically correct that the republican party is credited for passing most of the equality laws up through the civil rights act era, there was a pretty significant political shift around that same time frame that essentially swapped parties
Renza - April 29, 2013, 7:43 am
...While fighting for additional subsidies and deregulation for various businesses and lower tax - specifically on the rich. That is a fair reason to argue they're trying to hurt the poor. However as for the racist argument both arguments are misleading
Renza - April 29, 2013, 7:42 am
The MO of the republican party more or less is to cut federal spending, the most publicized means of this is essentially cutting federal benefits - food stamps, college a**istance, welfare, etc. Which is going to hurt lower incomes...
PapaFox - April 28, 2013, 11:12 pm
WTF - Anybody who makes even the most cursory investigation into the civil rights movement will know you're spouting BS. Why bother? And trying to make the current Repub party out as minorities' best friend is laughable. They're not as stupid as you think
WTFO - April 28, 2013, 10:53 pm
OK, that last redundant sentence was supposed to be "spreading misery to the poor & minorities."
WTFO - April 28, 2013, 10:51 pm
the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1964, to current day racial politics. They see the world thru race. They continue to lie to minorities by claiming that Reps (as a group) are the racists when it is Dem policies spreading poverty to the poor & minorities.
WTFO - April 28, 2013, 10:49 pm
Renza, the reason I believe the CRA is relevant is because it displays the lie that Dems tell minorities. Dems (as a group) have always been the racists in US politics. From starting the KKK, to Jim Crow laws, to eugenics (planned parenthood), to blocking
WTFO - April 28, 2013, 10:47 pm
Don't be clueless. 1st, I provided facts, see the thread on Dems' long history of racism. 2nd, I have a life outside of this site. My delay is based on limited time to play. Clearly it is you that dodges facts. Your ignorance of history is sad.
Renza - April 26, 2013, 8:45 am
Why are you guys referencing 50 year old events to discuss current day racism again? Rather than say... point out how republicans thought it was "brave or crazy" to talk to a room full of black college students at Howard university...
PapaFox - April 26, 2013, 7:18 am
It took you that long to come up with such a lame excuse to dodge the facts? Sad.
WTFO - April 26, 2013, 1:02 am
For the Senate, Dems: 46 yea/21 no = 31% opposed. Reps: 27 yea/6 no = 18%. So in each Dems were twice as likely to oppose the Civil Rights act of 1964.
WTFO - April 26, 2013, 12:54 am
Sorry. Wrong percentages. Let me correct the above on the House votes. Dems: 152 yea/96 no = 39% opposed. Reps: 138 yea/34 no = 20%. Fillibuster is accurate.
WTFO - April 26, 2013, 12:50 am
Tell you what, fox. Here's the facts about the CRA'64: Southern Democrats fillibustered the bill for 83 days (including Sen KKK Byrd's 14hr record). In the House, of 152 Dems, 96 voted against (63%), of 138 Reps, 34 voted against (25%).
WTFO - April 26, 2013, 12:40 am
Wow, great citation to back up the lie. You do realize that elementary schools don't accept wikipedia as a valid source since any idiot can post lies to it, right? Here's a lot of facts: http://www.politifake.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9533
Renza - April 9, 2013, 7:55 am
yeah, not gonna lie man, that does completely sound like something fox news would come with it. I won't say that politicians aren't morons or discriminatory, but at least the ones pretending not to be follow through legally. Like with g** marriage.
Renza - April 9, 2013, 7:52 am
I do agree both parties suck in the grand scheme of things. We really need to quit these ridiculous tax games of high base rates with massive subsidies to reduce it... plus we do need to implement more (competent) regulations on the important things.
PapaFox - April 9, 2013, 6:01 am
You've been reading right-wing BS for too long dude. Nobody who spends more than 5 minutes doing research would believe it. Read and learn. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964
WTFO - April 9, 2013, 12:07 am
The Dems have never changed the racism at their core. Racial politics is and always will be the heart of liberalism. Racism is against conservative beliefs. The only thing Dems did was to fool idiots that they care about minorities. They only want votes.
WTFO - April 9, 2013, 12:05 am
You want to see real racism, look what happens to an African Am. who is conservative. It was Dems who called Powell and Rice house ni&&as. It is Dems who call Thomas, Cain & Carson "Uncle Toms". You support the racist party. Congrats, bigot.
WTFO - April 9, 2013, 12:03 am
Thanks for repeating the leftist lies. Dems are still the party of racism. Most blocked the civil rights act in the 50s and 60s (see the thread for the facts). Dem policies keep poor & minorities in chains and poverty. Can't believe how ignorant you are.
PapaFox - April 8, 2013, 12:01 am
The Dems lost that all when they pushed civil rights legislation through in the 1960's. Now the Klan and all the other White Supremacists despise the Dems and align themselves with the Teabaggers. Oh how times change.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 11:34 pm
the KKK. In fact the Grand Wizard of the KKK was honored at the 1868 Dem National Convention. Also, the 1924 Dem National Convention (AKA Klanbake) had hundreds of Klan delegates & a KKK rally of 10K.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 11:22 pm
The more accurate term for them is coming back though, progressives. This is the term they used in the early 1900s. They changed because it was the progressives in the US that supported Mussolini, Hitler (early on) & Stalin. They supported eugenics and
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 11:20 pm
politicz, I use that phrase because that is what that party has adopted as a title in the US. It is a truly misleading title since they seem to have more interest in govt control of every aspect of US life vs individual liberty.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 11:18 pm
IMO, the majority of corruption in the free market has stemmed from DC politicians (both parties) putting their thumbs on the scale to favor their business buddies. Crony capitalism has destroyed the free market and created "too big to fail" companies.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 11:17 pm
The govt's role is (& was envisioned by the founders) to fight against corruption and produce laws that protect the free market and individual liberties. Modern liberalism has none of these goals. Both parties have strayed from liberty and freedom.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 11:14 pm
Libertarianism is the modern "traditional liberal". My hope is that the Rep party does more to incorporate them and strive for freedom and liberty. The TEA party has done a lot in a short time to push Reps in that direction.
politicz - April 7, 2013, 11:29 am
Then why are you referring to modern liberals as just "liberals"?
Renza - April 7, 2013, 1:55 am
The fact that something so simple as 'meat' needs to be defined in terms of what can be sold and referred to as meat, is just kind of sad... I'm looking at you Taco Bell... 0.o
Renza - April 7, 2013, 1:54 am
There are definitely downsides to modern day liberalism, its definitely not without its value though. There needs to be a certain level of balance between freedom and free market, versus protecting the populous and regulating against corruption.
Renza - April 7, 2013, 1:51 am
your description of traditional liberalism sounds more like libertarianism.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 1:25 am
liberalism, i.e. Democrats, are about big govt and its intrusion into citizens lives regardless of its violation of the Constitution. It is similar to fascism (not nazism, which is different). It attacks free market & individual achievement for power & $.
WTFO - April 7, 2013, 1:23 am
And the fallacy you seem to rely on is based on ignorance and arrogance by a**uming that I have "no idea" about liberalism. Traditional liberalism is about freedom. It is what the US founders were and what conservatives in the US still are. Modern...

hey, worrying about sports team names is more important work that congress needs to be doing these days. While we are at it- they need to similarly rename the pirates, buccaneers, raiders and vikings for their looting, r*ping and pillaging.

No, they want to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and mental cases. So do most members of the NRA (although the NRA lobbyists seem to be ignoring their own membership).

or democrats as all it appears they want to do is remove guns from the public
PapaFox - December 24, 2012, 9:35 am
An interesting idea. But to make it work you'd have to give that test to every person who wants to buy a gun, since many people with mental problems go undetected or untreated. Try getting that one approved by the Republicans in Congress...
ipaprime - December 24, 2012, 7:47 am
you want to keep guns out of the hands of "crazy" people it is simple. require them to take an MMPI test to certify their stability. just like i did PRIOR to being able to take a course to become an armed security guard
