Sunset Message

The MotiNetwork will cease to exist March 31st, 2018
Google has done a wonderful job pulling the plug on all of our traffic, and at this point, the sites cost more to run in server resources than the income they bring in. Its been a hell of 10 year ride, but the time has come to sunset the network.

The Wall Between Church and State - politics

“They knew that to put God in the constitution was to put man out. They knew that the recognition of a Deity would be seized upon by fanatics and zealots as a pretext for destroying the liberty of thought. They knew the terrible history of the church too well to place in her keeping or in the keeping of her God the sacred rights of man. They intended that all should have the right to worship or not to worship that our laws should make no distinction on account of creed. They intended to found and frame a government for man and for man alone. They wished to preserve the individuality of all to prevent the few from governing the many and the many from persecuting and destroying the few.” ~Robert G. Ingersoll

Forgive me, I couldn't shorten the quote without it losing its impact.
Rudedog - May 24, 2013, 11:07 pm
Almost scrolled past the Vik poster. Glad I didn't.

I just couldn't truncate the quote. And rest a**ured, I insist on being succinct.

Like Sgt. Schultz, President Obama hears nothing! Sees nothing! Knows nothing! - politics

President Obama, his Attorney General, and most of his administration must have been huge fans of the TV program Hogan's Heroes when they were children because they all have Sergeant Hans Schultz's famous line down pat: "I know nothing!"

He was a great man you know. Saw him live once with my first wife. Never be another one like him.

2): I'll take the wisdom of a dead comic over the bigotry of close-minded more-ons anyday.

1): Then you should address your contempt to the neocon who actually created this poster. A neocon who, under the circumstances, might disagree with you if the person was capable of independent thought.

The "extreme right" as you label needs no help from another clueless comedian as normal citizens need no gun commentary by the limo lib jim carrey. We need no quotes from dead comics, thankyou
StoneTools - June 8, 2013, 11:07 am
But it's even more appropriate to the current administration and the lefty lackies and whackos on this site. Lefties are like the blonde leading the blonde

I should also add some context: Carlin said this in 1992, during the administration of the first Bush. Carlin later insisted on calling Dubya Governor Bush "because that's the only office he's ever held legally".
BobbEdwards - May 19, 2013, 12:52 pm
Dupe of #27907. One of the very few Carlin quotes the Extreme Right can cite for its purpose, a matter of cherry-picking with a magnifying glass.
